Faith Story Workshop: Let God Write Your Story

It’s profound to think that the creator of the universe, the One who gave us life has a purpose and a plan for each one of us. Question is, do we ponder that truth long enough for us to truly believe it? Our stories matter. I’ve come to embrace the fact that there is grace for regrets, there is hope for the hopeless and we can truly have joy regardless of the circumstances of life when we know the Author of our stories. My prayer these days is:

“God, write my story! You knew me before I was even born and you know what is best for me, my family and this world. Help me to co-author this story well as I live and lead from your love. Help me to recognize when I am not abiding in your Love and when I am tempted to move from faith to fear.

Only by the grace of God can I say with full confidence: “My story is His story”. One that reflects His story of Creation, The Fall, and focusing on His Redemption story in my life and the ongoing work of Restoration in Jesus name.

This year, I am pumped to link arms with Women’s Journey of Faith to offer the Faith Stories workshop! Since the organization officially began with our first conference in September 2000, my most rewarding times in leadership has been sharing testimony myself, hearing testimonies from our speakers, our team and the women in our community.

Faith Stories Workshop

Women’s Journey of Faith is passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus Christ! We have been sharing testimonies in a variety of ways throughout the 25 years of ministry to women. We’ve done so through conferences, magazines, online connections, seminars, the creative arts. Ultimately, our aim with the Faith Stories workshop is is to equip others to tell their personal stories of who Jesus in their lives in everyday conversations.

As founder of WJOF (since 1999), one of the greatest joys throughout the years has been encouraging women to know their identity in Christ and to share who He is in their lives with others. The Faith Stories curriculum is one that is filled with Truth and Grace which is easy to understand and apply to your life no matter how long you’ve believed or are a follower of Jesus Christ.

What to Expect?

  • This 3 hour workshop is designed for you to help reflect on and share your personal encounters with God.

  • I will share how I’ve grown to be passionate about this topic, and guide you through the booklet. I’ll facilitate discussion alongside the guided journal prompts with an opportunity to share stories of faith!

  • We will dig into scripture that will remind you of your identity in Christ to inspire you to share the hope that you have!

  • Each participant will receive a booklet that is a great take home reflection after the workshop. This 3 hour workshop is an overview, so you may want to do your own deeper dive in each segment on your own time.

  • In the future, WJOF will be offering full day or weekend retreats to offer more space for teaching, reflection, writing and sharing together more in-depth testimonies.

Once you sign up, I’ll be in touch with you to share the location of the event in the Saskatoon area (either my home or church), along with what to bring for our time together!

If you are not in the Saskatoon region, you are welcome to reach out to WJOF to arrange for a speaker to come to your community for a workshop, full day event or weekend retreat.

Registration is up for 4 dates so far where you can contact me directly on my events page or through Women’s Journey of Faith on their events page.
