“The Stories We Tell Ourselves”

We all have a story. The question is, what stories are we telling ourselves? Are they based on the truth or lies? What story do we cast on others?

Daysland Alliance hosts its annual retreat on March 20-21 2020. I’ll be speaking 3 times on "Grace & The Stories We Tell Ourselves” amidst their full lineup of creative expression, free time, meals all within the quaint surroundings of Pigeon Lake Alberta.

Friday evening, I will be sharing my own personal journey of faith and my passion for Holistic Restoration: Heart, Family, World. Saturday, I will be leading others in two sessions on the "stories we tell ourselves".

When we acknowledge the complexities of our personal life stories and it’s a current or potential influence in our families, friendship circles and spheres of influence, we gain a greater sense of grounding. As we embrace grace and our true identity, we can walk in God's truth with confidence. As we do that, we
grow in the habit of recognizing lies more easily in order
to rebuke lies about ourselves and others.

In that place of truth and grace, we are on
the journey to restoration:
heart/ family/ world!

In these sessions, we will unpack the stories we tell ourselves/ past, present/ future to have a greater sense of identity and likewise equip you with the tools to help others. I will be covering the following:

- Identity- Who am I?

- Understanding and Overcoming Shame

- Incorporating Self-Compassion as a Spiritual Discipline

- Changing the Narrative of our Stories
